Where the River Flows

Long exposure photography is something that’s always interested me, but I haven’t had a chance to really futz around with. There aren’t many cases where I’m carrying a tripod around with me, and for now, I don’t have any neutral density filters to make doing them a reality. For me, shooting anything handheld at slower than 1/50 shutter speed results in a blurry mess — and it’s not the type of blur that I’m after.

When I was out taking photos of the Grand River and Bridgewater Place, though, I found an interesting subject and a stable place to rest my camera.
