I love old theaters. There’s something about the opulence of them that just puts me in awe whenever I’m in one. My favorites are in Detroit, specifically the Fillmore (I haven’t been to The Fox yet), but the Shrine Auditorium in LA isn’t anything to sneeze at either. I was there earlier this year for the PlayStation media briefing during E3 and when I looked up from my front row center seat in the mezzanine, I wasn’t disappointed at all. Just look at the detail in the fabric (or paint?) in the dome and the light fixture and you’ll see why.
