About

Oh hi there, I’m Engadget reporter Timothy J. Seppala. I started Dummy With a Camera as a way to light a fire under my ass and actually do something with the photos I take. What naively started as a photo-per-day project has become one of my favorite creative outlets — even though I don’t have nearly enough time to take, edit and publish a photo every day.

I’ve been a published journalist since 2008, writing for publications ranging from my local newspaper The Grand Rapids PressOfficial Xbox MagazineArs TechnicaThe Detroit Free Press and now Engadget. I’m currently working a long-form feature series about Michigan’s tech renaissance. My work portfolio is over here, and you can check out my resumé right here.
